The Azer Microtome Blades are Azer Scientifics solution to providing high quality and precise sectioning of samples over extended use. These blades feature a special coating allowing for a clean sectioning process that wont scratch specimens and prevents curling, providing professional quality samples straight off the microtome. Additionally, these durable blades boast proficiency even against the most difficult tissues, including but not limited to the myoma of the uterus, prostate, mammary gland, thyroid gland, bronchial bones, and other similar tissues requiring high-fidelity sectioning.
Each blade provides quality sectioning for as many as 50-60 blocks of pathological specimens, and up to 35-40 blocks of anatomical specimens (3 micron sections) without sacrificing clean and even cuts.
What is a microtome and its function?
A microtome is a tool found in laboratories used to cut extremely thin slices or “sections” of various materials. Depending on the material and desired thickness, various materials such as steel, glass, or diamond can be used as the blade.
