Our Sapphire Advance 384-well cap mats are compression molded silicone PCR sealing mats with 3.25mm diameter round plugs; fits almost all 384-well PCR plates. Produced from the highest quality research grade silicone, they are specially designed to provide a positive and airtight seal and can be used as a compression mat. Mats fit tightly into wells preventing evaporation of VOCs, sample loss during cycling, cross contamination, and reducing the risk of aerosols and pathogens venting during automated processes. High quality silicone is chemically resistant and reusable; containing no adhesives, PCR inhibitors, or extractables to contaminate samples. They can be autoclaved, and following a 10% bleach wash and ethanol rinse protocol may be reused.
